Battle Of Gettysburg
The Battle of Gettysburg had the most casualties in any battle in the American Civil War. The battle was known as the turning point for the Union due to General George Meade’s ability to stop Robert E. Lee and this evidently halted his advancement into the North. This allowed the North to begin its press onto the south and eventually win the war.
